WHAT WE DO IN THIS PILATES CLASS

Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements.

Our classes emphasise proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance.

WE OFFER VARIOUS TYPES OF PILATES AT TEMPLE OF STRENGTH -

PILATES:

Pilates is a way to stretch and strengthen your body, primarily the muscles of the core, which span from your hips to your shoulders. The moves are adapted to work with just your body, and a floor mat is used for cushioning and support.

Learn how to strengthen the body’s “powerhouse,” which are the abdominals, lower back muscles, pelvic floor, hips and glutes.Three or four of these classes will get you used to the correct exercise techniques at a comfortable pace, putting you in a stronger position to tackle the more challenging moves.

With our instructor’s guidance, This class will focus on using pilates for good posture and the prevention of injury. Develop your core and pelvic floor muscle strength, focuses on correct shoulder, hip and spine alignment.This focus is important for good posture.

You will find pilates will affect the way you stand, sit and move. Pilates will assist rehabilitation from injury, prevention of injury, participation in sport and general health and fitness.

IT’S CHALLENGING, EFFECTIVE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, FUN! THIS CLASS IS INTENSE, BUT IT DOES NOT DEFEAT THE BENEFITS OF TRADITIONAL PILATES AND IS SUITABLE FOR ALL ABILITIES.
